Position Job Summary: The position of Loan Officer is responsible for developing community loan products to meet the need of affordable mortgages, microenterprise loans, interest buy-down products and other financial tools that contribute to the revitalization efforts in the Greater Flint Area. Develops business relationships with financial institutions, non-profits, CDC’s, customers; and promotes business by maintaining good customer relations for services. The Loan Officer provides technical assistance and acts as the liaison to non-profits in the areas of CDFI loans and submits grants and reports to CDFI, Foundations, Local Governments and other entities as needed.   Community revitalization, microenterprise development and improved housing are ongoing objectives and require the Loan Officer to facilitate the process of partnerships and community organization. <br>
<br>
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: <br>
<br>
1.	To be a team member of Metro Community Development to achieve its mission and goals. <br>
2.	Conduct the entire process of developing Financial Products and delivery to low and Moderate Income and small businesses in Flint/Genesee County. <br>
3.	Submit grant applications to CDFI, Foundations and other appropriate entities.<br>
4.	Implement CDFI Grants, Foundation Grants, Loan Pool funds from financial institutions.. <br>
5.	Work in close partnership with non-profits, CDFI, Foundations, Local governments and other entities in developing the Business Strategy, Financial Products, Underwriting guidelines, Policies and Procedures. <br>
6.	Find potential clients, individuals or businesses, in need of loans. <br>
7.	Specialize in commercial, consumer, or mortgage loans.<br>
8.	Often act as a liaison to the Financial Institutions and as staff person to the Loan Committee <br>
9.	Help clients apply for loans. Coordinate, track and monitor all loans. <br>
10.	Analyze and verify the application to determine the client's creditworthiness; <br>
11.	Evaluate needs of each potential loan borrower and propose solutions.<br>
12.	Plan and coordinate Loan Programs with Counseling Programs, Family Self-Sufficiency Program, Down Payment Assistance Program and Individual Development Account (IDA) Program.  <br>
13.	Develop information brochures and literature for Outreach and Marketing and obtain data for needs assessment to determine the development of appropriate loan products. <br>
14.	Participate actively in the community meetings as needed and promote Financial Products. Facilitate meetings as needed. <br>
15.	To work on revitalization projects that ensure sustaining and/or creating mixed income communities. <br>
16.	Must maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent human relation skills in dealing with various non-profits, businesses, church groups, and community development corporations, lending institutions, community associations and other institutions.<br>
17.	Submit timely reports to funding entities. <br>
18.	All other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.<br>

Know How<br>

1. 	Four year degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or related field with considerable experience in Business Loan Program and Management. <br>
2.  	Must have the ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects, meet strict deadlines. Ensure appropriate program guidelines are met. <br>
3.  	Must have the ability of interpreting federal and state funded program rules and guidelines. <br>
4. 	 Must have excellent computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. <br>
5. 	Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent human relation skills in dealing with various agencies and individuals. <br>
6.	 Must possess a valid State of Michigan Drivers License, insurable and insured vehicle required.  <br>

•	Utilize sales skills to effectively recommend and implement creative financial recommendations and suitable financial solutions. <br>
•	Review progress toward the client’s goals and objectives.<br>

•	Strictly adhere to compliance and industry regulations. <br>
•	Conduct product, market, business planning and development activities. <br>
•	Be an active member of the department leadership team.<br>

Requirements:<br>
•	Bachelor’s degree required with focused studies in Marketing, Business, Insurance or related field desired. Advanced degree and/or professional designations (CFP) preferred.<br>
•	Working knowledge of financial products, product development and retirement plans regulations and compliance requirements. <br>
•	FINRA Series 7 & 66 licensed.<br>
•	7-10 years experience in financial services. <br>
•	Verifiable track record of sales success.<br>
•	Clean U-4.<br>

This position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of assisted living resident care that promotes the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, and choice of each resident, upholding state standards and promoting the philosophy, policies, and protocols of the organization. Duties include but are not limited to:<br>
• Oversees the admission process of assisted living residents, collaborating with residents, family members, care providers, and staff prior to, during and after arrival resulting in smooth transition into new surroundings.<br>
• Aligns staffing needs to meet organization goals by coordinating the scheduling of all lead caregivers, caregivers and assistant caregivers so that resident care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week according to state staffing regulations. Reviews and approves time cards for payroll process. <br>
• Oversees the delivery of services identified in Resident Service Plans by delegating and communicating verbal and written expectations to caregivers and assistant caregivers to ensure follow-through. Collaborates with resident, representatives, and staff when determining the need of additional services or if no longer appropriate for Assisted Living.<br>
• Oversees the activity program so that it provides reality orientation, promotes mental stimulation, physical well-being, physical exercise, and entertainment to the residents. Organizes the various facilitators, ensuring required resources are at their disposal, and evaluating the program and facilitators for effectiveness. <br>
• Oversees the assistance with self-administration of medication or medication administration, ensuring adequate ordering, receiving, documentation, and safe storage of physician-prescribed medications for residents. Conducts regular review of medication documentation.<br>
• Coordinates the scheduling of resident appointments and services for regular and emergency medical, dental, foot care, eye examinations and auditory testing ensuring follow up actions are documented in resident records and communicated to staff. Maintains contact with hospital when resident is transferred. Serves as liaison between residents and physicians, home health care agencies, pharmacies and ancillary services. <br>
• Oversees complete, accurate documentation of resident charts in compliance with state and facility requirements, promoting resident confidentiality and the safe handling and storage of records.<br>

• Oversees the discharge process of residents to ensure a smooth transition for the resident and family to the next place of service/lodging. Coordinates discharge planning process in advance with each department including packing of resident items, preparation of required documentation to be sent with resident, discontinuation of medication services, and closing of resident record including future contact information. <br>
• Provides tours as necessary to prospective residents and interested parties. Provides assessments for placement suitability. <br>
• Coordinates logistics of all functions of resident service, connecting with each staff member on every shift, primary responder to incidents, emergencies, and other urgent issues. <br>
• Collaborates with Kitchen to guarantee that the nutritional needs of residents are met at each meal according to Resident Service Plans. Provides quality assurance of all aspects of the resident dining experience. <br>
• Guarantees compliance with all of Michigan Regulations that apply to assisted living licensure. Participates in risk safety, licensure surveys and inspections. <br>
• Oversees human resource function for Assisted Living employees and volunteers. Provides screening, reference checks, hiring, orientation and training. Coordinates continuing education securing presenters/resources to meet state standards. Oversees employee files for all required documentation following up with employees to secure requirements prior to expiration dates. Maintains supply of new hire document packets and other employee forms. Assists in the creation, updating, and publishing of Employee Handbook and Employee Orientation materials.<br>
<br>
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:<br>
• Must be at least 21 years of age.<br>
• Minimum of two years senior care and supervisory experience.<br>
• Current Assisted Living Manager certification preferable.<br>
• First Aid and CPR certification.<br>
• Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.<br>
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).<br>
<br>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<br>
<br>
May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. Requires basic office work, including sitting, walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, bending and operating office equipment that is hand operated. Driving required – must have valid drivers license for three or more years with no more than one moving violation; proof of automobile liability insurance when driving personal vehicle.<br>
