The Job

This is a contract position. We need a local System Admin to provide support for our systems at our Troy datacenter for 1-5 hours a week. You should be able to respond to calls within an hour, and should be able to get onsite within 1-2 hours for emergencies. Some weekends maybe required. Additional hours may build as our clients' needs increases. This will be a 1099, part time, contract job. You will need to have your own transportation, and flexible hours during the day and evenings. Must be US a citizen. Even better if you live in Troy

Qualifications

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has strong familiarity with BOTH Windows Servers 2003, 2008, and Linux server systems (esp. CentOS and Citrix XenServer). You should also:

Be very familiar with SQL servers
Be comfortable with troubleshooting networking and creating network setups
Be able to put together a server from scratch and problem-solve/diagnose hardware
Have experience with Nagios
Be able to respond to on-call requests within 1-2 hours
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for server racking and rearrangement
Have at least 3 or more years of experience in a similar role

Successful applicant should be a US Citizen with a clean record. You will be dealing with sensitive information and will be required to pass a thorough background check as well. We have some pretty big projects (for us) coming up, involving half a dozen server setups and maintenance. HIPAA training or experience is preferred, but we will train for the right candidate.

2. I will verify the software version in your iPod's settings, and then plug it into the head unit of my car.

I have approximately 6-7 hours of video on DVD that needs editing. I shot the video alone, so most of the editing involves me starting and stopping the camera for each "clip". It's divided into 16 "chapters", and I start and stop the camera at the beginning and end of each chapter, then once in awhile in between.

The fulfillment company will be using adobe encore to make the final DVDs. I'll need a custom DVD menu built in encore so I can take footage and match it to menu in order to create the finished DVD. I need a .avi file since adobe premier will be used to build the DVD.

I'm trying to get an estimate of a fee to do this work before I decide whether or not to outsource this project. I'd love to outsource, especially with someone local.

If you do this type of work, please explain your fee structure and/or offer an estimate for this job. I'd also love to see any samples of similar work you've done.
