Our family consists of my husband, myself, and our two daughters. Our 9-year-old was diagnosed with MPS III and our typical 7-year-old. We live with our golden doodle, turtle and fish too.

Our first daughter appeared perfectly healthy her first year. By the time she was 2 she wasn't meeting developmental milestones, (mostly speech). Our family went through an odyssey as they call it to find a diagnosis. MPS III is also called Sanfillipo syndrome. Today she is no longer able to talk. She does make noise however to let us know how she is feeling. My personal favorite is when she thinks I am silly and she gets the giggles. She also loves to hold hands. She walks a little with assistance but spends most of her time in her wheelchair, couch, and bed. She needs complete assistance in these transfers. She has to be fed very small bites and we have to be mindful of what we feed her so she doesn't choke. She needs complete physical assistance going potty but she is trying very hard and rarely has a wet brief these days. She needs someone to lovingly brush her hair and help with her bath and with the rest of her grooming too. She doesn't have any ongoing medicines or feeding tubes or anything of that sort. We live in a small, friendly, stroller neighborhood and she loves to be taken for a walk and even visit with neighbors who pass. She has a collection of Barney and Elmo videos and she loves it when someone watches and sings the songs with her.

This position is approximately 15 hours per week. We need someone who is available most Saturdays from early shift is 10am-6pm then late shift is 6pm-overnight and who could be flexible and help out when she has a school holiday. School holidays are most often on Mondays and Fridays. We would prefer to find someone permanent since training caregivers well is a big job and we are busy. I am a nursing student at OCC and I work part time. My husband works full time and is also going to OCC to become an RN.

PAY:
The pay is $100 per hour for all classroom teaching and private tutoring. Teaching and tutoring primarily take place during evenings and weekends. You will also receive a $4,000 signing bonus upon receiving an offer.

(1) A 99% score on an Official GMAT CAT exam (official score report must be provided).

(1) Teachers must sign a non-compete contract, agreeing not to teach the GMAT for any other companies. (Note: Manhattan GMAT does not hire any individuals who are bound by non-compete agreements with other companies.)

I am looking for a tutor for my emotionally impaired 8 year old son. He is officially in the 3rd grade, but is not performing at grade level in most subjects. His official diagnosis is Bipolar, co-morbid with ADHD. He has difficulty maintaning focus and interest in academic work. He also has a very low tolerance for frustration and is easily over-stimulated. He is in an ARP classroom and spends very little time in general ed (his choice.) He is medically/emotionally "stable" and has been for about one year. The consensus among his ARP teachers is that he is stable enough to be "teachable."

I would like to have him tutored in math, spelling, language arts and handwriting. I am considering using the "Switched On Schoolhouse" computer based curriculum but am open to suggestions. For the time being, he will remain in school full-time, so all tutoring will need to take place after school. Weekends are also an option.

Our educational model grants tutors the opportunity to build teaching experience as well as the flexibility to manage their own schedules.

*Qualifications:
* Reliable transportation to travel to and from tutoring location is required.
* Strong knowledge in subject matter is a must.
* Completion of 60 college credits is required; Bachelor�s degree is preferred.
