We are a social support group of families from the Northwest Metro-Detroit area with twins, triplets and more!

Whether you are expecting, new parents or seasoned veterans of this wonderful experience, come join us for fellowship and support.

No matter if you knew from the beginning, or the news you were expecting multiple babies did not come until close to the end, the words �there is more than one� are still a surprise. It changes your perspective of what your future holds. Managing two or more babies presents challenges that you may or may not have considered already. Fear of the unknown sets in and now you are really anxious about how to make it all work.

Let us help you find your answers. We are a group of families who provide each other with fellow-ship and support throughout these busy times. We share the common bond of enjoying the experiences of raising twins, triplets and more. How about two sets of twins? How about newborn triplets with additional children at home? How about four children under four? Professional career moms, stay at home moms, moms managing home based businesses � we have proof that it is all possible!

Our club year runs from September until May with the summer months used for planning purposes. We hold monthly meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of every month at various locations, including member homes. Throughout the year, we host a variety of speakers discussing topics such as nutrition, Love & Logic Parenting, child and home safety, relaxation, and organization techniques to name a few.

We reserve one night during the first week of the month as �Mom�s Night Out�. We meet at area restaurants for dinner and some much needed time away from the home environment. This recharging period allows us to discuss the latest conflicts or triumphs within our lives.

In addition, our club holds several �multiples-friendly� seasonal events for your entire family to enjoy. Our most popular events are the Halloween Party, Srping Party, and various other playdates. We also organize daytime playgroups so moms can enjoy some adult company while children of similar ages play together.

We publish a monthly newsletter complete with meeting minutes, schedule of upcoming events, classifieds and member profiles. This enables busy moms to keep up with the club�s happenings. We also maintain a resource list that connects members who need help or information with other members who are willing to share their knowledge and/or exper-ience with the group.

Members also have access to a private website that has a message board as well as other important information regarding the club. The site is secure and has a written privacy policy.

Members are asked to volunteer for activities throughout the year to help with club functions. Since we are not part of the National Organization of Multiples we are not governed by their strict set of bylaws. We are self-supportive and self-funded. Member dues are $20.00 annually and are due in September.

Prospective club members receive a complimentary membership for three months. Expectant moms receive a complimentary member-ship until their babies are three months of age. At the end of your trial period, we hope that you would consider joining the Plymouth-Canton Mother�s of Multiples as a member and dues would be payable at that time.

Feel free to give the club a try. Attend a meeting, visit a playgroup or join us for dinner. Certainly, we have all been in your shoes and understand the restrictions on your free time. You are not alone and we can provide the support you need.

Hi,

I'm thinking of starting a group for single parents between the ages of 25 and 35. The state of the economy has affected if not hurt everyone especially single parents. So, I'm looking at group activities that are free or extremely cheap. The number of interested individuals will determine whether or not this group continues. If we get a large enough group, I'll start a website so that we can stay in touch and communicate easily. For now, I've created a place on MySpace for us to stay in touch.

I'm hoping to get together roughly once every other week to start so that our children can have a day out and play with other children. I would like to also include a once a month gathering of parents only to discuss more mature things such as current events, personal issues, future group activities, or even just to go out and have a 'grown up night'. Everyone needs an ear to listen to their voice.

For our first meeting, I'd like to meet at the community park on the northeast corner of 8 Mile and Napier in Novi, under the pavilion on Saturday, July 19th at 10 am. The children can play in the playground and on the massive jungle gym while we introduce ourselves to each other. Be sure to bring beverages as I don't think there is a drinking fountain.

A little about me:

I'm a 28 year old single dad of a 3 year old girl. I work full time and go to school full time. I'm barely making ends meet and then only with the support of my family. I'm feeling the pinch of the price of gas, the price of food (which seems to go up $50 each visit to the grocery store), and rising utilities. I'm looking for free or cheap activities for my daughter and for her (and myself) to meet new people and make new friends.

We are now opening the 2008 Midwest Metro Tennis League (MMTL) for registration. We received an overwhelming response of support and endorsement from last year�s participants. This year it we will be expanding our league to include 3 playing levels and even more competition.

For those of you who are new to the MMTL, the league is an exciting and refreshing alternative to players who would like the opportunity to play, test and improve their tennis skills against a variety of players within their skill range yet with the flexibility of scheduling their matches at a time and venue that is convenient. Among the benefits of playing in the league include:

Scheduling flexibility � schedule your matches with opponents at a mutually convenient time, day and location

Players ranked by points accumulated as well as matches won � this makes every point in every match count

Top players advance to the championship rounds � play for the opportunity to challenge top players in other Southeast Michigan cities

Play for the 2008 MMTL Southeast Michigan Champion�s Trophy and other prizes

And much, much more!

The league starts July 14 and ends on September 14. All players will have at least 8 matches to be scheduled. Two-day playoff and championship rounds are tentatively scheduled to be played in mid September in a single venue (Varsity Tennis Center in University of Michigan-Ann Arbor was the venue of the last 2 playoffs). The East Division has started their league, but still accepting registration for the next batch of players, and will also start on July 14.

There is a one time $25 registration fee for the summer's league. Players who advance to the playoffs will be asked to pay no more than $15 to cover the court reservations and/or guest fees.

Our Shepard/Lab 60 pound loveable, friendly, dog has had all shots, including rabies, and has always been healthy. No kennel cough, no worms, nothing.

SO IF YOUR DOG IS LONELY AND YOU FEEL BAD, BUT NOT BAD ENOUGH TO GET ANOTHER DOG, THEN LET'S DO THE RIGHT THING AND GET TOGETHER FOR PLAY DATES FOR OUR ANIMALS SO THEY AREN'T LONELY. We have a Privacy fenced yard and live right next to a Park. (For all you critics out there, we would love another dog,but physically & financially, we can't do it and honestly, my children's food, clothing & shelter, must come 1st before we take responsibility for another dog that would be like another child.)
