I love being outdoors, and doing craft projects, as well as just curling up and reading a book to the children for some down time.

I will work with your family as far as your terms of disciplining the children, but I do believe in allowing them to make positive or negative choices - rather than doing something "right" or "wrong", I encourage them to think about making a "good choice" or a "poor choice", and they understand what each outcome will be. I find that this way, the days go smoother, and the children are happy because they're involved, instead of ordered around.

When the children are in my charge, I always carry a cell phone with me, and it is always turned on. With the most recent family I worked for, we established a "texting" system - when the children and I would go out, we'd send a text message to the parents - that way, if they were in a meeting, or just couldn't get to the phone, they had a "documented" idea of where we were going to be, and for how long. The system worked beautifully, and the parents really appreciated the peace of mind.

If you're looking for an extremely well organized, down to earth, accountable nanny, who has your children's best intrest in mind, please look no further!

We had her over for dinner to meet us and our children. She comes across as very smart, educated, and patient. She really did seem to take interest in our kids.

About a week or so later we asked her to watch the kids for us. We came home to the house looking as we left it and kids in bed. That right there meant success.

What was really cool is that she sent us a nice long email recapping the evening. Additionally, our children were quite happy with her. We will definitely ask over again.

Excellent Provider

We have loved having her in our home! She adapted well to the children and I felt safe knowing my children were home with her. She was always on time and never called off. Little Tree Huggers Child Care has a few openings left for children 12 months and up. Licensed, in-home child care approved for 12 children allows for more one-on-one time than corporate childcare. We follow a pre-school/kindergarten readiness program. All employees are cerified TEACHERS with degrees in special education, early childhood, and/or elementary education OR are going to school for this purpose.
