Database Administrators and developers are highly motivated, detail oriented technicians who understand the unique need of internet and Web Applications. This role is an integral part of our development team and will focus on the development and maintenance of our database system.

We are looking for a .NET C# developer who has also worked as a MS SQL DBA. Qualified candidates have managed a production MS SQL server in addition to development server. Must have experience managing whole SQL server (not just SQL database).

Job responsibilities include developing the data layer in the N-tier application development model and developing and maintaining the SQL Reporting Services. The candidate will be a part of the software development team to handle all the data requests to and from the databases. This position also includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, enhancing, and maintaining a database system, which includes, but is not limited to implementing, configuring, performance tuning, supporting, and troubleshooting database incidents, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access. This position will monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.

Bachelors in a Computer Science; MCTS in SQL 2008; MCDBA; Microsoft Clustering/Replication, advanced knowledge of C# and ASP.net.

Skills:
• At least 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Two years experience with SQL Server 2005 / 2008
• Expert in SQL Server 2005/2008 DB Administration with SQL Analysis Services
• Experience working in a 24×7 environment is a plus
• Disaster Recovery Planning
• Must possess excellent communication skills for team projects and client communication
• Strong analytical skills for problem resolution, database and SQL performance tuning and backups
Additional Desired Skills:
• Transact/SQL, IIS Design and Development
