I am willing to give you a commission based on every hour that one of your students, clients, friends etc records at my studio.
If you have a reputable business, I am willing to keep some of your business cards on hand at my studio and pass them out for free. (I don't expect a commission in return.)
I keep a log of all of my clients and will pay you on a regular schedule. I will also sign an agreement with you so that you know exactly how much and when you will get paid.

We've been tinkering with a darker, grunge influenced sound with hints of acoustic folk/rock, psychedelia, Americana, and roots rock. Think something along the lines of Mark Lanegan, Peter Murphy, Glenn Danzig, and Bowie.
We don't want to limit our search by saying you should sound one way or another - if you're interested in singing any kind of rock-based music, let's see if it'll work.
Our focus is to get a solid set of originals to gig with, while toying with some clever covers.
We need somebody with the patience to craft strong songs. You don't need to be a music pro, but should know by ear how to fit into a song.
We jam at the guitar player's house in Dearborn (Telegraph and Cherry Hill). Weeknights are best. There is a working PA and mic.

I have a lot of equipment to set up and tear down before and after every show, and I make many transitions between instruments on a very cluttered stage. This creates a very choppy live atmosphere and we need smoother and quicker transitions so that we can have a better overall live performance.
I am wondering if you would be interested in helping me out?! What I need is someone who can help me set up my rig before the show, take my guitars and tune them between songs during the show, press a couple buttons on my keyboard, and help me tear down afterward! I understand this sounds unglamorous and oddjobby but there are many perks! :
1. You will recieve FREE entry to every show we perform at, free transportation to and from as needed, and therefore will see many great performers at no cost!
2. You will meet and familiarize yourself with many (currently) entry-level industry professionals that may help you with your own musical career!
3. Gain valuable work experience and knowledge about all aspects of the music industry. (Our sets are 30 to 40 mins with probably 20 to 30 minutes of set-up and tear-down time, so you will have lots of downtime to talk and meet with other people and learn all you want!)
4. Be treated with dignity and respect always. More importantly, you will be valued as a crucial and indespensible partner in creating our live experience. In other words, we won't look at you as a "guitar tech", you will be an equal and will be very appreciated.

Also, I am not looking for one sole individual. In fact, I would love it if three of four people responded to this because I need a stage hand at every performance, but I know that no one's availability is totally open, nor should it be. You will work when you can! This should not be the most important thing in your life, this is only if you WANT to be a part. Your level of commitment is UP TO YOU!
Here's what is required:
1. First and foremost, a friendly personality and a positive attitude!
2. Must be able to tune a guitar and play and E major and a G major (to make sure the guitar is tuned to itself)
3. Own some black/dark apparrel to wear during performances to minimize your stage presence.
4. Preferably someone who is interested in taking the experience and knowledge to advance their own career or musical interest.
5. Must be able to consistenty arrange the settings on an amplifier. (Hot Rod Delux specifically)
6. Some knowledge of the connectivity and proper arrangement and wrapping of cables is preferred.
7. Guitar playing skill is a bonus: there's a chance we will have you perform backing tracks with us!
8. Interest in independent music is a plus!
9. Photography skills and a knack for multi-tasking will earn you a GIANT hug at minimum...
If you live far away, say in Grand Rapids for example, and are interested but are concerned about the drive, still get in touch! When we have performances in different locations near you, we may just call you instead of bringing a usual partner from home!
You do not have to be a masterguitarist! Beginners and students are welcome welcome welcome!! I love teaching people and I love learning from people, so I'm hoping to develop a very positive professional relationship! If you want to be friends, that's even better. Our atmosphere, though professional and serious, is also extremely relaxed to foster expansive creativity. Afterall, it is the journey not the destination. like I said this is a cover band so we are looking for a player that can play the song like you would hear it on the original track.Not make up a new solo for every song. This is not a restriction. you will be able to let loose and take things to your own level, but there are songs that need to be played in there original form. For example:classics like stranglehold, sweet home alabama, guns and roses. These are just a few but I'm sure if you the guy we are looking for you know what I mean.
So now, I'm not gonna waste my time telling you we play here & there, and what music we play, and post that you'll make $100 a nite, and we will be playing good venues, and great music.
