Just to cover some of my bad experiences, here are a couple guidelines:
1. You need to take a shower at least two days before meeting for dinner. That dinner in Chicago was painful to get through.

I'm joining Snap Fitness in a couple days. Its only a few blocks from my house and its open 24/7 so its very ideal for me. Anyone currently have a membership there? Or is looking for a membership who wouldnt mind joining them? I have the drive to go the gym, I've currently lost 27lbs in 48 days. I wanna work out to tone up and make sure I don't have extra flab when I lose all the weight.

I'm 23 years old, I work in Royal Oak, I work about 50 hours a week and my shifts are differnt each day. So a person with open availabity to go the gym would be great. Hell a night person would be awesome you know go to the gym at midnight? I dunno I'm pretty flexabile. Ive never joined a gym before so I'm a def noob, so if you are to cool. If you know your shit? Well here are some bullit points about what im looking for and about me.

Good heathy relationship skills
-To have good relationship/marriage exp.
-To even have delt with a bad relationship(makes it great for me when I treat you good)
-be mentaly heathy, not on phyc meds, no suicide attempts, love life!

-This one is a not right away important quality. Desire a great happy sex life. Not right away though. I DO NOT want to have sex till there are feelings there and even then I do not and will not have sex until I find that ONE special women)however when there is that one person I would love to have a awesome sex life with her.

Since then my feelings and passions have altered. I've also come to learn about myself more deeply. Perhaps an advanced degree is not for me; for example, during my masters degree, I had extreme difficulty in choosing a dissertation topic that would hold my interest.

While I've accepted the fact that I'm not in doctorate school now, a part of me yearns for the intellectual camaraderie of university life. I'm reminded of a quote from one of my professors, who told me that we learn more from our peers than our professors. The words of Samuel Johnson also springs to mind. He wrote:

"People have now a-days got a strange opinion that every thing should be taught by lectures. Now, I cannot see that lectures can do as much good as reading the books from which the lectures are taken."

While I could easily, and have, filled my void with solitary reading, I feel that I read with a more discerning eye when I'm reading with others. Consequently, I'm interested in pursuing an intensive, historical reading schedule with others of the same spirit. We need not restrict ourselves to a particular historical, geographical, or temporal field, but can rather choose books from whatever time period/topic/geographic area is of interest. Meetings can be weekly, bimonthly, or monthly at a local coffee shop.
