In exchange for an apartment with all utilities paid and a $25 stipend for cable television, a couple or an individual will perform various evening, weekend and some holiday duties in a residential senior apartment complex on a beautiful campus in West Bloomfield.

You will be "on-duty" for one week in the evenings and on the weekend and you will be relieved of your responsibilities for the following week. Thus, you are only on-call 26 weeks a year, plus some holidays.

The position is ideal for two people but we would accept a qualified single applicant. Well-qualified applicants will be tactful under pressure, compassionate and level-headed. You should be able to deal with an extremely stressful situation that may occur without warning, for instance, a false fire alarm at 3 AM. You will also be calling family members of residents at extreme hours, and must be able to communicate effectively, directly, clearly and sympathetically.

No medical training whatsoever is required for this position-this is not a medically-oriented facility. You will be required, at company expense, to receive AED training.

We are looking to do something a little unconventional given the state of the houseing market. Here is our story and proposition:

In Aug 2005 my husband and I bought "our first place". We did not know eachother then, but in Dec 2005 we met and were married in Sept 2006. Then we were faced with what to do with "the second house". We decided to keep paying on the second house until we decided what to do. In the mean time the market crashed and we couldn't sell, so we rented. It's been a good experience so far but 3 years later our needs have changed.

We would like to offer some ideas that may help us and help you move in this difficult economy. We are just a young couple brainstorming ideas how to move and since so many people want to but feel stuck maybe we can start "swaping".

If you are thinking about short sale, foreclosure, renting your place, or if you want rental/investment property we'd like to talk with you BEFORE you make any decisions that would hinder us from being able to negotiate something.


Options we would consider:
1. Swaping BOTH of our condos for a single family home. Value for both condos is roughly $300k

We would look at anything in these areas: Rochester, Rochester Hills, Troy, Birmingham, Commerse twp, novi, walled lake, beverly hills, sterling hts, Utica.
We need: a yard that has/allows a fense, 2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths, basement, 2 car attached garage

2. Swaping our Canton condo for another small house/condo nearer to the Rochester Hills area. We'd like to decrease our second mortgage if we can't sell both places.
We would look at anything with: 2 bed, 2 bath (ideally), attached garage, laundry in unit.
Price range: $100-160K

3. Renting our Canton Condo at $1450/mo with security deposit at $1,700. Month to month or year lease. Non-smoker.
