We are a couple in our twenties looking to rent a room in the vicinity of Grosse Pointe (which is where we are from- we'd like to be close to our parents)... We are both students (she's starting grad school; and he's undergrad pre-engineering/mechanics), and are looking for a NO-LEASE room, studio, apartment, or the like. We do have steady income from unemployment and from our family allowances (yep, GP kids, what can we say), but we really don't have any credit/security deposit, and are looking to get our own place by March, so this would be a short-term living arrangement. We are: happy people, CLEAN (yes, OCD-style neat freaks), highly-educated, goal-oriented, and classy. We are open to a variety of living arrangement ideas, as long as they fit within our budget. We DO have one female cat. She can certainly stay in our bedroom only (including litter box of course, which we clean daily), if that is your preference. We have a car and would need somewhere to park it that is safe. If there's only street parking, that's cool, as long you consider it safe. Our budget- about $250 including utilities. We have our own furnishings, but if your room is furnished, that's fine- we won't make you move your furniture out if it's a hassle! Even a twin would be fine for both of us to share. :) We'd be totally happy with having just a room and no kitchen or house share, if the price is right. We keep to ourselves, we don't need to be your "bff", unless you're looking for a friend, which would be nice too! We would also be very happy to enter into a care taking arrangement for a person needing assistance if living quarters were included. (She loves to cook, bake, and clean; and he is very handy and can fix almost anything, do yard work, etc.) Any ideas or help would be highly appreciated! In fact, if you are a person looking to rent TWO rooms or a TWO bedroom apartment (again, no lease, no security deposit, etc), we have a close relative/ good friend that also has unemployment income, and would take the second room. Carriage house, studio, flat, basement, apartment, roommate share, house, caregiver position, etc- whatever can work within either $250 including utilities, or $500 if our cousin joins us. Again- please be within a "reasonable" distance from Grosse Pointe. Thanks so much! :)
