The Salvation Army of Wayne/Westland needs your help this Christmas Season. We have opportunities that take as little as 2 hours and are both indoors and out. By partnering with us this season you will be able to Bless many children and families.
Below are some of our opportunities that you can help with.
Bell Ringing - Ring bells at store front locations in Westland and Wayne. This is from November 13-December 24.
Angel Tree - Located at Westland Mall—Children we are helping at Christmas are placed on this tree. Mall patrons shop for Christmas gifts for the child they choose. You would be inside at a table helping the adopter fill out their information card. This is a great opportunity for Seniors, Girl Scouts & Brownies as well as Boy & Cub Scouts. This goes from November 13-December 11.
Toy Shop - Sorting of toy donations and preparing to distribute to families. We will be putting all donations that have come in for a specific child or family in numerical order. This event takes place on Saturday, December 12.
In-take assistance - Assist with the Christmas Application process for families that we are providing assistance to this Christmas season. This begins on November 2 and goes until December 11 on Monday and Wednesday.
Adopt A Family/Child - Help provide a truely blessed Christmas this year by choosing a specific child or family to purchase gift items for.
