Hi, first of all thank you for reading this.
A dear friend of mine was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer, he's 26 and currently has no health ins. A friend and I are throwing a benefit show for him. We plan on donating half to him and half to the American Cancer Society. It will be held January 23rd at the Token Lounge. It's going to be 10 bands for $10. If you own a business and can possibly donate things to raffle off, sell, gift certificates, anything... please let us know. It's going to be a mix of bands, from punk, metal, hip hop, jam bands.. We are hoping this brings in a lot of people. We have started a group on facebook, we plan on calling the show "F*CK CANCER" I will post the link to it at the end of this message. We just started planning this less than 2 weeks ago and already have over 650 members on the website, and I have 8 of the 10 bands already booked, I have a local tattoo artist doing a silent auction for tattoos, and plan on doing 50/50 raffles all night as well.. We want this to be as successful as possible. If you in anyway can help us out in anyway please please e mail me. Or if you have any suggestions too, we would love to hear them.
