Oil Change/Tire Technician Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Oil Change Technician to join our service team. As a vital member of our operation, you will be responsible for performing oil changes and basic vehicle maintenance while delivering excellent service to our customers. This position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in starting or advancing their career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform oil and filter changes on both gasoline and diesel engines.
• Inspect and replenish vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and transmission fluid.
• Rotate tires, inspect for wear, and ensure correct air pressure.
• Check and replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as needed.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings to the service advisor or technician.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including care for tools and service bays.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines consistently.
• Assist with additional duties such as vehicle vacuuming and shop cleanup when required.
• Mount & Balance Tires, which would include passenger, truck and light duty trucks
• Flat Repairs
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic automotive knowledge and a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance.
• Previous experience as an oil change technician preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during work hours.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and colleagues.
• Strong work ethic paired with keen attention to detail.
