Here’s a fantastic example of a late-’80s Gibson Les Paul Standard, finished in classic Ebony Black with the original hardshell case. Made in 1988, this is a true vintage player’s guitar from a highly regarded era of Gibson USA production.
This Les Paul is all original, including pickups, hardware, and electronics. It has the rich, powerful tone you expect from a proper Les Paul Standard, with great sustain and resonance thanks to the solid mahogany body and maple top. The neck has a comfortable medium profile – not too slim, not too chunky – and the original frets are in good shape with plenty of life left.
Cosmetically, it shows some light play wear from over three decades of honest use, but it has clearly been well taken care of. No breaks, repairs, or structural issues – just the kind of wear that adds character to a well-loved instrument. The original hardshell case is included.
Looking to trade? I’m open to trade offers. Let me know what you have – I would be interested in other guitars, amps, or gear. I may also be open to high end woodworking hand tools (Lie Nielsen, Veritas, Bridge City, etc), high quality Swiss, Japanese, or German made watches, or potentially hunting items.
