I've retired from my staff church music postion, and it's time to downsize my wonderful guitar collection.
This one is unique. In 1990 I ordered the (no longer available) jumbo 855c. 12String. This is rosewood with a Florentine cutaway. gold Schaller tuners. When I ordered it I asked Bob Taylor if he would authorize my build to include the lovely "Cyndy" headstock inlay (named after his wife and usually reserved for the 900 series). He agreed. As you can see, it's beautiful. The sound simply is like a dream, warm and brilliant. It plays like butter. It's in great shape; the Fishman Prefix Pro works great. This was not primary guitar, so didn't see the road often... Used only in church and in studios. The recording engineers were always flabbergasted at the sound coming out if it.
I simply have too many guitars now for my status in life. At 76 I'm sticking with my 814 Builders, three GS minis, and an Alvarez hybrid. They are just easier for me to handle than this beautiful but big, jumbo Taylor. My loss,....your gain.
