condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Pentax
model name / number: Spotmatic sp II
This is the upgraded Spotmatic, from the early-to-mid 1970’s, which features shutter speeds from 1 – 1/1000 s, hot shoe mount, ISO 20-3200, self-timer, and M42 lens mount. It has a built-in light meter that runs on a battery (not included), but otherwise the camera is all mechanical and does not require a battery to function. I am including the original 50mm Super-Multi-Coated Takumar f 1.4 lens. Also included are the original leather Ashai Pentax case, plus the original manual and all the paperwork that came with it, as well as the original warranty card, which has the serial numbers of the camera and lens printed on it. The serial numbers match the camera and lens. This is the complete package as it was sold new in the early 1970’s. I just no longer have the original box. The camera and lens are in excellent condition, and everything works. I have used this camera to take pictures as recently as last year. See the included scans of 35mm negatives form the last roll of film I shot with the camera. I have also used the lens on my Sony DSLR with an adapter. It takes great pictures! Overall , this is a fantastic camera!
