For sale is my early type 9 Stanley Number 8 Jointer Plane. This model plane dates from 1902-1907. This one in particular has the type 8 "unwaisted" brass nuts on the knob and tote which indicate that it's early in the production run. This particular plane is an excellent user, the sole is flat to my Starrett 24" rule and the iron is sharp with a 30 degree bevel and flat unpitted back. There are no defects or cracks in the casting, the knob and tote are solid with normal wear, and the japanning is around 75%. The lever cap has been replaced with a Stanley transitional era cap.

I am open to trades. Specifically I am looking for a Veritas RH shooting plane, LN 3, 4, 4 1/2 (iron or bronze), or Western style joinery saws. I am open to other trades though, hand or power tools.

I will be listing quite a few other hand tools soon, if there's something you're after feel free to ask.
