Are you ready to work in a state-of-the-art small engine repair facility where efficiency, safety, and quality craftsmanship come first? Modern Mower is expanding and we're seeking a Shop Assistant to be the face of our operation while supporting our technical team.
Our facility is equipped with electric mower lifts, large single-post riding mower lifts, high-speed fluid evacuators, and all the tools you need—everything is set up to make your job easier, faster, and more rewarding.

Position: Shop Assistant
Pay: $18/hour starting, $20/hour after training period
Experience: No professional experience required, but mechanical aptitude and customer service skills are essential
Responsibilities
Greet customers, answer phones, and manage check-in/check-out
Perform minor maintenance tasks (oil changes, blade sharpening, basic cleaning)
Assist technicians with small repairs and shop operations
Keep the facility organized, clean, and safe
Maintain basic service records and communicate with customers
What We're Looking For
Strong customer service and communication skills
Willingness to learn small engine repair and maintenance
Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience (cars, bikes, lawn equipment—anything counts!)
Organized, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player who takes initiative
