condition: excellent
size / dimensions: 32.5 inches x 30.25 inches
The first off, price is extremely negotiable. I have cancer and I'm trying to pay medical bills, otherwise I would NOT be selling it. Please make a reasonable offer and I will consider it. As for the description, this is a superb original male nude oil painting signed by recently deceased artist, Federico Pizzurro, consequently I have quite a few pieces in my possession, some of which are for sale. This truly masterful work measuring 32.5 inches from top to bottom and 30.25 inches from side to side, including the 1/2 inch metal frame, features a male nude subject sitting on a wooden black chair, with one leg crossed over the other, cloth draped over his lap, and looking down in contemplation. There is an oil lamp with broken glass and a bit of spilled oil on the floor. Pictures do not do the skin tones justice. Pizzurro was very well known for his nudes/amazing skin tones, as well as mesmerizing portrait and landscaping pieces. Schooled at the University of Palermo, Sicily and a retiree from 30 years at the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, Pizzurro had designed the ornamentation for many cars, including the Dodge RAM ornament on the back of most RAM trucks, the Imperial Eagle, Cordoba, Dodge Dart and other cars on the road today. His greatest love however, was that of oil painting and mostly figurative painting. A truly must-have piece for the serious, avid nude collector. AND remember, this is a one-of-a-kind, but feel free to make an offer and we will consider it. Additionally, do NOT be fooled. There are paintings, as well as various sites on the internet that misrepresent as a Federico Pizzurro piece of artwork that usually do NOT represent THIS artist.

EXTENSIVE RESUME DOWN BELOW. OF NOTE: Pizzurro also has a painting now hanging in the Singletary Museum adjoining the University of Kentucky Campus. This could be an ideal gift for someone, completely unexpected, one-of-a-kind and a unique conversation piece for a real collector or someone's first piece!

Reasonable OFFERS will be considered!

Additionally, do NOT be fooled. There ARE paintings, as well as various sites on the internet that MISREPRESENT as a Federico Pizzurro original oil painting and MOST times are NOT by this artist! He was well-trained in Europe utilizing old style traditions who did not employ the use of quick, cut-corner techniques, frequently taught today, but painted in the fashion of an old renaissance master.
