-24 EIGHT -31 FIVE - 381 FIVE ****EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL 1932 OA-60 JOHNSON 3 HP OUTBOARD MOTOR- VINTAGE ANTIQUE- COMPLETE down to the smallest detail -ALL ORIGINAL PAINT-just the decals & rubber handle replaced -this outboard is a real time capsule survivor-1932 was the worst year of the GREAT DEPRESSION and Johnson's worst year ever- before the GREAT DEPRESSION Johnson was producing 32,000 outboards a year-in 1932- just 6,000 were produced and not even 6,000 -could be sold-many of the unsold were placed in dry storage for over 15 yrs and then sold as an auction lot after WW2-hence the fantastic condition of this 3 hp-there is no oxidation-and the original paint is like new in most places--its has fantastic compression & spark & fired up on a shot of fuel-the fuel tank is super clean & undented still retaining it bright shiny polished exterior -this OA-60 is a unique model-Johnson went into bankruptcy in 1931- the court ordered Johnson to take its supply of extra parts & build outboards-this way Johnson would have little investment and some needed $$$$ -the outboards built from spare parts were given the OA- model #---they were only assembled over a 3 year period- 1931-33 & the 1932 OA-60 being the rarest of the group--they had a unique stainless steel muffler and many of the parts were painted machine gray to save on polishing costs-if you like Super Rare Original outboards that look like new -this 1932 OA-60 JOHNSON is it-add in -it can run if you wish it too**
