Back in the old days people had paper file folders. And they attached papers to inside the files using a 2 hole punch and a prong type fastener. This item is at least 50 years old. It's a Bates Perforator Model 2 made in Orange, New Jersey. The center to center distance between the punches is 2 3/4 inches.
Solid little item ready to make some more circular holes.
