A great book with heavy wear on cover, binding a little loose (some signatures loose as seen in photos), but apparently complete. Loaded with pictures, interesting history and fascinating anecdote. Did you know that one of the founding fathers of Troy, Michigan was indicted for selling whiskey to the Indians? Did you know that he was on his own grand jury? Was he excused from the jury? From the pictures you can see tape stains where someone taped a picture back in. The tape is long gone but the stains remain. Some genius penciled in 1920 above the publication date on the title page, and wrote 48 below it. 1920 - 1877 = 43 years old! I think I will go and do that to all my old books to see how old they are! I will let you decide whether to erase that. This is a RARE book!
