October is the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let's make a difference in the life of people who have experienceddomestic and/or sexual abuse by participating in this fundraising event hosted bySalvation’s Gate, Inc. a charitable nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to Salvation’s Gate Inc. to help fund our work with domestic violence victims and their families.
Salvation’s Gate, Inc. will hold its 4th annual 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk event on October 12, 2019! Freedom to Soar |Rising Above Domestic Violence race will take place on the beautiful Belle Isle, a 985-acre island park situated on the Detroit River between the U.S. and Canada. The very flat and fast course will offer beautiful river and city views throughout the entire race.
Race t-shirts while supplies last, so register EARLY! We will offer unisex size shirts. If you choose to register at packet pick-up on race day, we cannot guarantee a race t-shirt. T-shirts will be available to race day registrants on a first come, first serve basis while quantities last. All participants will receive a wristband commemorating domestic violence awareness!
Medals for participants:
Finisher medals will be awarded for all finishers and prizes for the overall winners and top winner in each age category based on chip time.
We will do all we can to make sure each of our races is produced as planned, but runner safety is always our top priority. If we have to cancel a race because of weather or circumstances outside our control, refunds will not be issued.
