Original owner of this classic 1980 Schwinn Deluxe Varsity bike. "At the time the amazingly easy, positive shifting set the new Schwinn Deluxe Varsity apart from other 10-speed bikes. Designed with the 470-9 20" frame it's equipped with a front freewheeling FF system and a Positron stem-mounted shift lever which moves each gear with a positive click-an unbeatable combination for riders new to 10-speed machines and a real convenience for experienced riders. Schwinn Breeze Sports Touring 27 x 1 1/4" gumwall tires make this sturdy 37-pound 10-speed a joy to ride and easy to maintain." This bike is heavy duty and in great condition for it's age. Brake cables, pads, tires, and other original components could or may use an upgrade/replacement. Excellent addition for the collector or a great bike to get around.
