The style of this writing seat is sometimes called "Mid Century".

This oak chair is by Heywood Wakefield. (There is a photo of the decal, but it is pretty rough.)

It's in need of some care & attention. (Worn finish & such)
But, it's a mighty solid little chair!

NOTE- On the left leg, visible in the photo of the back of the chair, there is a piece of missing wood and a shallow crack. The crack isn't structural. A close up is in the last photo. The damage is 4" long.
