NOS new-in-box 1969 Buick “super deluxe” wheel cover, p/n 981487. Never installed. This is identical to p/n 981426 Electra wheel cover, except it uses a tri-shield emblem instead of the Electra crest. However, if you have an Electra, the tri-shield emblem can be removed, and you can install an Electra crest. This version, with tri-shield, was an optional wheel cover on LeSabre, and Wildcat.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
1) The area next to the blue (RH) side of the tri-shield looks like it has a scuff on it. This is NOT a scuff or damage—it is merely some sloppy black paint from when the wheel cover was masked and painted. It will come off with some paint thinner.
2) There is one tiny ding in the cover, as shown in the picture. This is the only damage, and it’s quite small.
3) Although this may look the same as a 1970 “super deluxe” wheel cover, there is a difference: The stainless steel “pan” of the wheel cover is shiny on a 1969, and BRUSHED on a 1970. So, this cover is incorrect for a 1970 Buick.
