This book was made specifically by Lucky Strike cigarettes ahead of the 1938 New York World’s Fair.
It was written by Roy Flanagan who was a journalist for the Richmond (VA) News Leader.
The very beginning of the book announces a Lucky Strike exhibition at the Fair, which will feature cigarette rolling and packing machines, a diorama to show how tobacco is grown, and a movie that shows how Lucky Strike tobacco is handled.
The book is meant to be a combination of a long ad that masquerades as a book.
This 94 page book outlines the history of tobacco, the process in making it, and how cigarette machines work. There are plenty of photos throughout.
The book has two old ink stains on the cover, but the inside of the book looks as though it was never read.
