Kaaken VII became King of Norway in 1905 and ruled for 52 years. Before Haaken was crowned, Carl (his real name) was deemed the Crownprince of Norway. He married Maud, the youngest daughter of the Prince of Wales, in 1896.
In 1903, Maud and Carl had Olaf, who became the Crownprince of Norway.
The color photo on this photo postcard was probably taken in 1905, when Carl became King Haaken VII.
Haaken VII was very popular, particularly with his resistance to the Germans in WW II.
The card is in very good shape. It was never sent. Since the subject matter would suggest that this was a celebration portrait of the new royal family in Norway, the card is probably a hundred years old.
