model name / number: Casey's Saloon and Gambling Hall

NOTE: Please excuse some of the glare in several of the photos. I didn’t have a polarizing filter, so you’re getting the reflection off the glass in the frame.

In 1902, gold was discovered near the eventual town. Within a few years, the population exploded to about 20,000 people, the largest town in Nevada at the time. It was truly a boom town, only lasting a few years.

The photo on the poster was taken in 1906, at the height of Goldfield’s boom. There was a lot of money floating around and—of course—casinos were there to take it.

Casey’s Saloon and Gambling Hall was located in downtown Goldfield’s Merchant Hotel.

In 1981, Ace Publishing of NY acquired the rights to the original photo and blew it up to put on posters.

The poster itself is quite large, measuring 28 x 22. It has some faint spotting on the bottom right border, but it has no effect on the photo itself. The frame measures 33 x 25.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of table games these guys are playing, but I have no clue. Someone more knowledgeable than me would know.

I purchased the poster a while back. It came rolled, so I bought a frame to flatten and display it.

The frame comes with the poster unless you want it shipped. I will ship it in a tube.

If you’re into casinos, this would be a great old photo/poster to display in a man cave.
