This antique painting from the early 19th century depicts a Native American Indian maiden near a canoe by the river. It is an original painting after a painting originally created by F. R. Harper. There does a appear to be a signature near the very bottom but so incredibly faint at this point can barely tell if it's a signature. The canvas was removed from it's stretcher at some point and loosely wrapped around a piece of cardboard, which is warped. It could be professionally stretched and put back on a stretcher. There is very minimal craquelure in a couple of areas.
