Back in the 1960s and 70s, Sir James Outerwear of Addison, MI, made high-end coats, jackets, and blankets. Much of the company’s work was for the University of Michigan.
This blanket is quite large (5 x 6 feet)and is in excellent shape. It is very high grade of 15 % nylon and 85 % wool.
The blanket has a large maize block “M” chenille letter sewn into the fabric.
This blanket wasn’t used much, if at all. But it has recently been professionally cleaned and looks as nice as the day it was made.
