Much of the humor in these four MAD specials from 50 or so years ago still hold up.
The MAD Special #9 from 1972 contains a full comic book entitled “The Nostalgic MAD.” Besides the comic insert, the full special is 80 pages long and has articles and artwork from “the usual gang of idiots.”
MAD Special #10 from 1973 is all about the Don Martin, the hilarious cartoonist. There’s a Don Martin stick page insert but one of the stickers is missing. All the rest are there. A couple of the last pages have some dog-eared bottom corners but an be easily straightened out.
MAD Super Special Number Fourteen from 1974 is 96 pages long and has 16 pages of new material. The Don Martin insert, however, is missing. It also have a few later pages with slightly dog-eared bottom corners. Again, no artwork or text is affected.
Finally the 1976 MAD’s Vastly Overrated Al Jaffee advertises “A Collection of Lowlights from MAD Magazine.” The back cover and a few of the later pages have some staining, but only a few. It’s a whopping 160 pages.
