This well preserved music guide is a blast from the past. On this date,Detroit’s WKNR listed the Doors’ “Light My Fire” as the #1 hit of the week. Some of my other favorites on this list are “Windy,” “Up and Away,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” and #14 that week “White Rabbit.”

At the bottom of the front of the card, below the song list, is an ad for WKNR’s Drag Racing Spectacular, held at Detroit Dragway. Discount tickets could be bought at the many Sinclair gas stations at the time. Because this must have been a big deal, the music guide was longer than usual.

The back of the card features the afternoon DJ, Jerry Goodwin, along with a 7-UP ad.

The front of the card is in good shape with just a small bend in the upper left corner, while on the back part, the upper border (above Jerry’s head) is slightly discolored, probably from storage over 57 years. Luckily, everything else is just fine.
