Up for sale is 2006 XLR-V, Infrared exterior and Shale interior. Yes, the top works, as do the headlights and taillights! This car has the supercharged 4.4 Northstar with over 440hp. Fewer than 2,200 were made!
65k miles on it at the time of this listing, I purchased it with around 56k on it in summer of 2024. Mileage will increase a bit as I am driving this car regularly. Notable services while I have had the vehicle include:
New brakes front & rear, including braided stainless steel lines and new fluid
Replaced all three drive belts, one of the three tensioners, and had the power steering tensioner (which is no longer available) disassembled and rebuilt
Had the power steering pump pulley (also no longer available) disassembled and rebuilt
Replaced radiator hoses, a couple heater hoses, and one of the intercooler hoses
Replaced all four shocks with genuine GM magneride shocks, and the leaf spring perches
Replaced all six pneumatic lift supports for hood, trunk, and folding top
Serviced the automatic transmission and differential
Installed the SWPS retaining clip relating to TSB 06-02-35-002A
What comes with the car:
Two functional key fobs! One of the original Bvlgari designed XLR key fobs, and one of the modern rectangle key fobs
A working Tech2 clone which I have used with this car
A set of suspension trim height adjustment tools
A few extra fluids & filters
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S at all four corners, with 9k miles on them, date codes 2823 for the front tires and 1924 for the rear. Previous owner installed a Sony XAV head unit which I have been using both wired CarPlay and wired AndroidAuto, and a backup camera as well.
Known defects with the car:
Large scrape on passenger door & rear quarterpanel
Minor scrapes on all four wheel arches
Significant wear on driver’s seat
Lens is stained/damaged on passenger side front DRL
Stains & minor curb rash on all four wheels
This car was bought back by GM in 2007, apparently they did some work and returned the car for sale shortly thereafter. I don’t any information about what GM did when it was bought back, although I can provide many service records from multiple sources for the subsequent life of the car
