Luxman LV-117 integrated amplifier. Rated at 110 watts per channel. Made in Japan and originally sold between 1988-1990. The LV-117 was the top of the line solid state Luxman amplifier offered during that time. Optical cable input and multiple analog inputs. A and B speaker switches, Loudness control, balance, and tone controls. The face plate, buttons, and cabinet are all in nice original condition. This is a very nice sounding amplifier with plenty of punch. Note: This amplifier does not include an onboard phono amplifier. The LV-117 was originally marketed during the compact discs heyday when most people were no longer using a turntable, or would prefer to utilize a stand alone phono amplifier. If you plan to hookup a turntable to this unit you will need to have a stand alone phono amplifier. These can be purchased for as little as $25 from the usual online sellers.
This is an integrated amp which means that it incorporates a power amplifier, a pre-amplifier, and a phono amplifier all into one unit. An integrated amp can also be thought of as a receiver without an AM/FM tuner.
