I restore Weber Grills to as new condition. What you are buying here is a brand new grill.
Here's how and why.
This grill was cooked until the parts no longer worked and it was thrown in the trash! Upon inspection everything was in order so all working parts have been replaced with all new parts which as it turns out- the new parts are better engineered by Weber than original parts.
Everything new- Cooking Grates, 16 Gauge Flavor Bars, Burners, Electric Starter, Pressure Regulator. This grill turned out really nice and with basic care will last another 20 years. The grill has been pressure washed to clean out all the old grease and cook gunk. The fire box is aluminum and has been sealed on the outside with 1200 degree spray paint, the inside has been cleaned, its normal to see the black and lighter colored burned on stuff- the idea here is as you cook, you season the pan with the animal fats which coat the inside of the fire box and seal.season it- just like a cast iron pan in the kitchen. The blacker the inside the better. As for the cooking grates, it comes with a new and unused set- 2 different kinds- Cast Iron or Stainless Steel- your choice. I also have the original heavy duty Weber Cooking grates which are in excellent condition- your choice. This grill also has a folding shelf which is convenient for storage purposes.
I fully restore these Weber grills and I am the only one doing full restores. Happy to answer any grill questions you may have. I really enjoy restoring these older grills as they are so nice looking and highly reliable when finished. Properly restoring a grill takes quite a bit of time, labor, knowledge to do it correctly.
