Rose of Sharon is a vigorous, upright, vase-shaped, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that typically grows 8-12' tall.
Will grow and flower in July 2026
Planting a purchased shrub
1. Choose a location:
Select a sunny spot (6-8+ hours of direct sun daily) with well-draining soil, as it's essential for the plant to thrive.
2. Prepare the hole:
Dig a hole that is two times as wide as the root ball and the same depth.
3. Place the plant:
Gently remove the shrub from its container, loosen any circling roots, and place it in the hole so the top of the root ball is even with the soil surface.
4. Backfill and water:
Fill the hole with the original soil and tamp it down lightly to remove air pockets, then water thoroughly.
5. Mulch:
Add a layer of organic mulch, such as shredded bark or compost, to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
PLEASE schedule appointment with seller to pickup the Quantity of 3 ft shrubs or 4 ft one would like to purchase
Patience: WINTER SHRUBS WILL BE WOOD TREE WITH BRANCHES
Rose of Sharon can be slow to bud out in the spring, so be patient for its leaves and flowers to emerge
