Looks like the passenger side cv axle seal blew. I'm down river (Ecorse area), and I'm having a hard time finding a shop that can do this rebuild. One transmission shop wants $2k (1k parts/1k labor) to do a complete rebuild, but they won't put an estimate on paper. One dealer won't touch it because of the 190k miles. Here's what I've found Googling for parts: carriage (with spider gears): $400, rebuild kit (all bearings, gaskets, seals, etc): $350, ring and pinion: $300. If needed, I can remove the rear diff. Any gearheads in the Ecorse area with their own shop/garage that can do this? Any suggestions on shops near Ecorse that rebuild rear ends? **** SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH A FULL ESTIMATE OF PARTS AND LABOR.
