Shure SM63L is a dynamic omni microphone often used by field reporters. I found it works great on high hats and snares. It's a proven workhouse microphone with a lot of applications. The L in the model number means long, giving it a nice long handle for interviews. This mic can still be seen on TV news a lot for a good reason. It is still a current production mic that sells for about $200 new.
