For sale is a gorgeous light weight S-Style build featuring the best names in the boutique parts world: MJT, Musikraft, and Rocketfire.
Professionally assembled and set up by Pursell Lutherie in Ferndale, MI, ensuring top-tier playability to match the premium specs.
Neck:
The neck is a custom order from Musikraft (which cost over $430 alone) designed for ultimate comfort, tone, and playability. It features heavy rolled edges, giving it the worn-in feel of a vintage guitar right out of the box. Plays immaculately.
Profile: Fender Custom Shop '66 Strat Oval C. It starts substantial at .84" at the 1st fret and tapers to a full .96" at the 12th. Perfect for players who find modern C necks too thin but don't want a baseball bat
Fretboard: Dark Rosewood Slab Board.
Nut: Bone (Professionally cut and installed).
Radius: 9.5"
Frets: 6105 Nickel Silver Medium Tall
Truss Rod: Dual acting with heel adjust.
Body:
Maker: MJT
Finish: Natural Nitrocellulose.
Aging: Light Relic. Authentic checking and wear that lets the wood breathe. It looks like a well-loved vintage example, not a heavy abuse relic.
Electronics & Hardware:
Pickups: Rocketfire Total 60s. These are widely considered some of the best boutique recreations of the mid-60s grey-bottom tone. They deliver the classic bell-like chime and "quack" without being harsh.
Hardware: Full Gotoh vintage-style hardware kit (Tuners/Tremolo) for tuning stability and classic aesthetics.
Assembly & Setup:
Builder: Professionally assembled by Pursell Lutherie (Ferndale, MI). Pursell is one of Metro Detroit's premier luthier shops, known for high-end restoration and custom builds. The bone nut work and final setup were done to professional standards—no amateur soldering or buzzing frets here.
Excellent condition (intentional relic finish). The best strat I've ever played in both playability and sound. As much as I love this guitar, I am slimming down my collection to focus on a few specific vintage pieces. This build is too good to sit in a case unplayed—it deserves to be someone’s Number One.
