Vintage 1978 MIJ "Greco / Fuji-Gen Gakki "Lawsuit Era" PB "Electric Bass", a series precision bass.
Not a USA exported bass..mostly only found in Japan. I bought it in Japan myself.
My vintage 1978 Greco "Electric Bass" is not a "museum piece"... or not found under grand-pa's bed. It is a "warrior" with it's pre-loved nicks, scrapes, dings (no cracks or repairs)...the "relic" neck was earned not sanded to look that way (look at the pictures). This sounds as good as a vintage Fender at fraction of the price. This is a 45 year old bass that has been a well loved and played...NOT abused.
The Greco Fender replicas from the late 1970's and early 1980's are similar to the early Fender Japan guitars as Kanda Shokia own(ed) the Greco brand and are also part of Fender Japan. The Greco Fender.... by Matsumoku have Matsumoku....on the neckplate and the other Greco Fender replicas were made by Fuji-Gen Gakki".
