The purpose of this survey is to understand the changes that girls experience as they enter adolescence. As girls "grow up" their body gets bigger and taller, the way they think changes, and the way they feel changes. Since it is common for different girls to go through these changes at different times, we are interested in learning what changes are usually happening in girls from grades 3-6.

• Must be a mother with a daughter in grades 3-6.

What will you be asked to do?
• Visit our lab at the University of Michigan, central campus or the University of Michigan Detroit Center.
• Complete questions on the computer about what you think and how you feel.
• Read a book to your daughter about puberty.

The study will take about 90 minutes and compensation ($50) is offered as thanks for your participation. Weekend appointments available.
